Russian Association for Artificial Intelligence - SUMMER SCHOOL
Program
The educational module is the seventh school in a series of schools run by the Russian Association for Artificial Intelligence (RAAI), the largest public academic organization in the field of artificial intelligence in Russia and the former USSR. RAAI continues the traditions of the international Braslav schools on artificial intelligence, held at the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century.
The educational module consists of 6 directions. Students will get acquainted with modern methods of reinforcement learning, behavior planning, computer vision, logical methods and neuromorphic computing, as well as mastering practical skills in the field of robotics, natural language analysis, neural network models.
Lectures will be obligatory for all students in each direction. Each direction includes practical seminars, mainly related to the programming of the proposed methods and algorithms. After the course of lectures, students need to unite in teams of 4-5 people and choose a project (several projects will be offered for each direction). When distributing into project groups, the achievements of the participants indicated during the application, as well as those formed during the first week of training in Sirius, are taken into account.

Goals:
- To introduce participants to modern fundamental methods of artificial intelligence and its applications from an interdisciplinary perspective;
- To present examples of practical problems that require the use of new methods and algorithms;
- Involve students in scientific activities;
- Ensure the exchange of knowledge and experience through educational lectures, seminars and practical exercises
Who is the program for?
The educational module is intended for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students who are familiar with the basics of machine learning, graph theory, mathematical statistics, optimization theory and have programming skills in high-level languages.

Application
The school consists of a general lecture part and practical areas. When submitting an application, it is possible to indicate the most interesting directions.
Participants are selected on a competitive basis. The selection of participants is carried out collegially by representatives of all areas. Quotas for directions in the final version will be formed based on the processing of the flow of applications from participants. As part of the school program, it is supposed to be possible to pass additional test tasks for redistribution in areas.
